Nalaire Giveaway
I am always all about promoting moms that are hustling their way through “momming” and working….both are full time jobs…so when Justina Chobor Ryan, one of the moms in my Facebook group “Leah’s Mom2Mom,” reached out to me and expressed her interest in giving away one of her Nalaire plates to a mom who would enjoy the product I said yes without hesitation.
What is Nalaire you ask? Here is a little more about Justina’s story in her own words:
When my daughter was attending daycare I struggled to find the perfect container for her daily lunch. That's when my husband said - design your own! And so we did just that!
Our patent pending plate has 4 sections to hold 4 of the 5 food groups - veggies, grains, proteins and fruits. The 5th food group - dairy - is your child's glass of milk. What's unique about the Kid plate by Nalaire is that not only does it have 4 sections and a lid for easy storage, but the 4th section for the fruits is removable. You can remove the fruits, warm the food and place the fruit section back in and serve it to the child.
The Kid plate is perfect for daycares or for home. It's a valuable tool for children to learn what a balanced & nutritious meal should be. Babysitter and grandparents will LOVE finding a portioned dinner ready in the fridge.
We feel so passionately about healthy eating for families that we will donate a portion of every plate sold to feed children in the USA. Every child deserves to have a nutritious lunch. Help us Spread the Health!
Balanced Plates for a Balanced Life.
Justina is such a believer in her product that she sent me some of her Nalaire plates to try out with my own children. Bonus is that the plates come in packs of two (yay no fighting over the new plates for my two kiddos) and you can pick from two different color combinations. When I tried them out tonight, my kids could not have been more excited to have a new plate! My daughter even said, “Mommy what is this beautiful plate?” before she sat down to eat. My picky eaters were intrigued by the fact that the plate had different sections for 4 of the food groups (that is a lesson to teach them in and of itself). According to my son he also loved that his foods did not touch on this plate...yup he’s Type A all the way! I really liked how I could show my children how much of each food they should be eating in each section. Of course they went for the fruit section first but I told them they had to finish the other sections before eating more fruit. One problem I ran in to was that my kids had hot dogs for dinner and wanted ketchup with it but we came up with a simple solution. We took out the plastic removable tray for the fruit and put ketchup in it…..problem solved! The sections are small which is great for kids who are always asking, “How many more bites?” but not ideal if you have to cut any of your proteins. I honestly loved everything else about this plate and if that is the only complaint I had then it is a product well made. The best part of this plate is the fact that it is microwavable and dishwasher safe! If you want to check out all of Justina’s products you can go on over to her website here: https://nalaire.com/
