Plexus Slim Give Away!

I thought it was just a mom thing. To wake up exhausted and have to drag myself through the day. That the hormones were the reason I was never motivated to do anything or couldn’t lose the baby weight or would give myself anxiety attacks worrying about the silliest things and cry over nothing. That I was too busy to eat right or work out and it was just normal to feel like crap. All moms complain about being tired right?

Well, not all of them. One of my friends kept posting on Facebook about these new supplements she tried and how great she was feeling. I kept seeing her posts, talking about gut health and everything it impacts and wondering what in the world a “microbiome” was. The products are plant based, all natural, gluten free and vegetarian, so they must be better than the 3 energy drinks I was downing to get through the day. Finally, I figured, what do I have to lose?

So, I gave it a shot. I signed up for a 30 day challenge group she was running and I am so glad I did. After the first few days I started going to the bathroom regularly. Because let’s face it – no matter how healthy the food is you are putting into you, it’s a problem if it’s not coming out. After a few more days I was feeling less lethargic. I didn’t want to take a nap by noon. Fast forward three months later and I’ve lost a healthy amount of weight, inches of bloating and inflammation, and feel better than I ever thought possible.

One of the most important things I have learned in the past few months is that your gut is literally at the core of your overall health. Makes sense, right? If we are what we eat then we are only as healthy as our gut. And our guts have a delicate balance of bacteria, fungi, viruses and other organisms, known as our microbiome. This microbiome affects everything from mood, sleep, immunity, stress, pain, to the way our bodies use the food we eat. For example, the mood regulating hormone serotonin is mainly produced in the gut, and serotonin also helps produce melatonin, which regulates sleep. When your mood and sleep are imbalanced, depression and anxiety can easily creep in. Throw in blood sugar that yo-yos by the hour, and that was me in a nutshell.

The good news is that all these problems are easily fixed. Plexus developed a group of products called the Triplex that work together to restore the good bacteria to your gut with ProBio5, feed them and keep them strong with the prebiotics in Slim, and flush out the bad bacteria and fungi with BioCleanse. Probiotics are the good, healthy bacteria that we all need in our gut. Their importance can NOT be overstated. They help digest food and control gut movement to send food through the digestive tract. Different strains of probiotics have been clinically shown to help with IBS, constipation, diarrhea, allergies, food sensitivities, bad breath, and skin conditions like eczema, psoriasis and acne. Plexus’ ProBio5 is a targeted blend of probiotic strains and enzymes that are freeze dried to ensure they survive the hot, acidic environment of your digestive tract all the way through your small intestine. It also contains an anti-fungal to help control Candida yeast. We all need a little bit of Candida, so it’s not good to get rid of it entirely, but overgrowth can cause bloating, cravings, constant yeast infections, headaches and belly fat.

The second component of the Triplex is Slim, also known as the “pink drink”. This delicious drink mix includes prebiotic fibers to help support the probiotics and allow them to do their job. We all know how beneficial breast milk is to newborns, right? Well, breast milk is one of our first sources of prebiotics. This should give you a hint of their importance in establishing a healthy intestinal environment and immune system. Prebiotics also inhibit the growth of bad microbes along with the third component of the Triplex, BioCleanse. As you can tell by its name, it helps remove harmful microbes and cleanse the intestinal tract to promote regularity, relieve bloating, gas, discomfort and constipation. When your digestive tract is working at its best, your body then works at its best and your health and well-being improve.

Like tons of other busy moms, I used to tell myself I didn’t have time to work out. Chasing a toddler around counts as exercise, right? But let’s face it – it was an excuse. I mean, I have an elliptical in my house! Even knowing that exercise releases endorphins and I would feel better once I started, I still couldn’t get myself off the couch. But once my gut was free of all that bloating and inflammation, and my digestive system was moving right again, my mind was motivated too. My hormones are back in balance so not only is my physical fatigue gone, my mental depression and anxiety are under control. Now I wake up ready to face the day, get on that elliptical, and go out into the world. It is almost like putting on glasses for the first time and realizing how blurry everything was before. It is amazing how great healthy feels, inside and out. This is why I signed up as an Ambassador. Because when something has such a great impact on your life, you want to share it with the world. Comment below and tell me why you want to try Plexus and two lucky winners will be chosen to receive a trial pack of Slim and a water bottle. I know you will all love it as much as I do!
